Hey everyone! I'm finally taking the time to write our little engagement story... mainly because its just so dang funny! Oh mind you this was Lance's birthday!

So the day started off late. Lance and I were supposed to be out by 9am and we didn't even leave till after 11am or so. We were both extremely tired and slept in. It really messed up our nice day! So anyways Lance and I finally hit the road and it was one long drive out to Ocean Shores. We were both hungry....and well me more so since I wasn't able to grab anything for breakfast.

Once we finally reached Aberdeen we stopped to eat and pick up some food. We also picked up the movie "Call Waiting" or whatever its called. lol From there we hit the road again! I think it was about another 30min drive out there. Along the way we got a little lost because they're fixing up the roads and there was a bunch of detours. lol We finally figured it out and headed the correct way. Once we got to Ocean Shores I showed Lance how we could just drive right up on the beach. He thought that was the coolest thing ever! It was really cute and we were just SO excited to finally get there!

We pulled up a few feet from the water! I thought that was so awesome! Both of us took off our shoes and ran out onto the beach. I ran right into the water while Lance followed but ran back out! LOL he has some issues with freezing water. It was really funny. We both decided that we should go get a hotel room so we could change and get situated. Drove around a bit and then decided on Quality Inn. Lance wanted to stay there mainly because they had miniature golf. lol The other reason was because they had a room with a jetted tub in the room. So we ended up getting that. I sorta feel though he did it because of what he was going to do later on!

Lance and I quickly got our stuff into the room then got our swimsuits on and headed out to the beach. Not going to lie it was *BLEEPIN* freezing! Lance did some skim boarding while I took photos of it. Then decided I wanted to try some boogie boarding. Yeah I didn't get to far before I ran back in. LOL It was COLD! Lance ended up taking it and then ran out and tried catching some waves. Didn't work too well because he didn't get out far enough and he wasn't about to go further. LOL He was freezing and after a few tries got out. I took it again and ran back out. This time I went further and tried catching some waves. Still didn't get far enough but didn't want to risk getting pulled out... plus did I mention it was FREEZING?! lol

I ran towards Lance after I figured out I could catch any good waves. We were walking back to the car when Lance said "You should get on the board and I'll pull you" I said OK! lol Supposedly he was kidding but I did it anyways. O M G! It was SO cold and I ended up screaming a few times. lol It was fun though Lance was pulling me ashore. I decided that was it for me and got out. Lance however wanted to skim board more and so continued. I got some good videos of him and a few of him "junking" himself. lol It was so funny!

After that we both went back to the hotel, showered off, then filled up the jetted tub and jumped in it. Oh my it was so nice! lol Not gonna lie a little weird with swimsuits on. After a while I got pretty hot and we decided to get out and get ready for dinner. After that though I think from the shock of the cold water I was drained of energy and just felt sick and tired. I told Lance I needed to take a nap and he was a little iffy about that. But I did and he ended up sleeping as well. LOL I knew he would.

After an hour, I think, we got up and ready for dinner. Went across the hotel to a little pizza diner. We thought it was closed because NO ONE was inside. haha It was just us in there which looking back is actually really cute! The pizza there was SO yummy. We quickly ate though because he wanted to catch the sunset. I told Lance if he wanted to catch it we needed to go NOW. We oddly headed back to the hotel room and while I went inside to get some things taken care of Lance was in the car talking with someone on the phone. (MY parents!)

Once he got off the phone I told him we needed to go NOW because we'd be missing the sunset! We quickly grabbed some stuff. He was waiting for me to get out of the room for him to grab the wooden heart with the ring. Finally we got everything and left quickly. We jumped in the car and took off for the beach. We drove to the area that Lance really wanted to be at but sadly someone took over it and built and bonfire. So we continued our drive. He was like "What the heck?! People get off my beach!" I told him not to worry yet. Like I've stated I had NO clue what he was about to do!

We stopped at one area and decided to get out and take some "pro" photos. We did that for most of the remaining sunset. Walked down the beach and played with some birds. There was some weird birds...very little that walked very fast. lol Cute little things. Wish it was a little brighter to get some good shots. After that we decided to head back to the car and drive down further.

Lance found an area that was free of people and a cool tree root bag/log. He got out pretty quickly and ran over to the thing. Again I thought nothing of it! I got my little cam and tried taking some photos with the flash since it was getting pretty dark. I noticed though that when I took it it had a lot of dust partical or something in the way. I tried many different ways of taking the photo and still had them in the way. It was seriously so weird! Lance told me to come over near him and he took the camera and took some photos himself. Oddly enough he got nice shots and not the weird ones I was getting.

After that Lance dragged me to go sit on the log. Cool I thought.... still not knowing what was going on. We started talking about things and I guess supposedly Lance set me down right next to the wooden heart that he made himself. Being that it was dark I had NO clue it was even next to me! Lance did his best to make it known it was there. He broke some branches around the log area so I could "lay down" but I told him "Noooo! Its too creepy to do that" Lance's thought (AHHHH what now?!) Lance moved me closer to the heart... again still didn't know it was there. Just his luck though a stick poked my foot and he grabbed it and started smacking the area where the heart was.

FINALLY! I saw it and said "Oh wow someone left a heart here!" Lance played it off... "Oh wow thats really kewl!" His thoughts (OMG FINALLY SHE GETS IT) lol I glanced over it and Lance grabbed it quickly because he thought since it was dark that I wouldn't be able to figured out where the plug to get the ring out was. So he takes it and opens it up. I could see there was a little area that could have had a note or something. He grabs my hand and tells me to hold it out to get whatever is inside it. I say "EWWW!!! NO! I don't know where's its been, whats inside it!!" LOL!! Lance just about died then. He goes to try to get the ring out and it gets stuck...finally gets it out and I'm like "OMFG its a RING! O_O;;;;" Lance got down on one knee said some things I can't remember and asked me to marry him. I actually at 1st said maybe and after a few minutes I told him "Lance you know what the answer is.... Of course I'll marry you!!"

After that we did lots of kissing, hugging, and took some photos. Then we played with some glow in the dark balls I got him for christmas and then did some star gazing before we headed back to the hotel room. From there I of course called my parents and told them the news and all normal engagement life got crazy!

Once that was over Lance and I watched the creepy movie "Missed Call". Such a weird movie! Once that was over we watched some funny kitty movies then went to bed.

Yep thats right! On the 29th of September of 2007 I got my horse! He is gorgeous, and his name is currently Royal. You can find out some info about him here Not only is he "palomino" he is a very unique color gene...Champagne .

Anyways I'm still in lots of shock as this whole thing seriously feels like I'm in a dream.. isn't supposed to happen. Not only that I am now scrambling around a bit to raise some needed funds to help support my horse.

I had the amazing experience of being able to photography someone's Fjord foal.



Its about a week old now and oh so very cute and little. It was amazing because the little one took too me so well. The owner kept saying "Wow! He really likes you!" lol I know part of it had to do with my camera but I guess I have something special that makes little foals attracted it me. Actually with any horse but thats a different story. I think from this, another amazing experience, I really want to push myself towards equine photography.

I love taking photos and I just LOVE horses!

Got back from Electric City yesterday. The place we stayed at was pretty nice. I just now realized I never took any photos of the place *slaps forehead*

Anyways my Dad's Ironman was on Saturday. Got up at 5am to help him out and such. It was FREEZING! I wasn't prepared for it at all and it was so hard for me to photography anything since my hands were so numb. Luckily there was a tiny little shop that just happened to be selling gloves and hats. So I got those and things were much much better!

My dad did really well on the swim, actually everyone did fantastic on the swim. It might be because the swim course was a bit too short. =/ The bike part of the race was a bit iffy, my mom, bro and me waited near the bike/run transition to wait for him. It took a couple of hours to the point where we were starting to get nervous. But he made it and it was another couple of hours before he finished the race.

Haha it was really sweet when I saw my dad come around the coner near the finish line. Got my camera ready only to have the damn thing act up!!! OMG nearly chucked the thing on the ground. LOL it sucked so bad cuz I had been waiting forever to get the shot of him running in and of him crossing the finish line. Oh well....next time?

Anyways my dad finished the race! YAY!! He came in @ 19th place out of 80 people that did the race.
